MALAPPURAM: The Islamic Publishing Bureau (IPB), Kozhikode, will celebrate the 87th anniversary of the Malabar Rebellion of 1921 by leading discussion on ‘the ideology of Mappila rebellions’ at Tirurangadi on Thursday. Historian and former Vice-Chancellor of Calicut University K.K.N. Kurup will inaugurate the programme on P.S.M.O. College premises at 3 p.m.
‘Mapila Malabar,’ authored by historian Husain Randathani, and ‘Campus of Campus’ authored by writer-politician A.P. Abdul Wahab will be released on the occasion.
Former Education Minister E.T. Mohammed Basheer; K.T. Jaleel, MLA; Haj Committee Chairman A.K. Abdul Hameed; P.S.M.O. College Principal Major K. Ibraine; Husain Randathani and P.V. Abdul Wahab will address the function.
